The capital of the island, Mahon, recalls the presence of the British crown on the island. Instead, the former capital, 'Ciutadella de Menorca', was the capital during the Muslim occupation until the eighteenth century. In the latter, it is held every late June the ‘Feast of Saint John’, which highlights the 'Jaleo', an exhibition of medieval equestrian games in which riders and horses join to offer a wonderful show. Yacht charter in Menorca will be the first step to be closer to all the wonders that the island offers.
A Legend says that the wind of Menorca changes the personality of its inhabitants. Perhaps this is the reason why those who have been here once, as tourists, end up coming back.
Menorca has a strong personality and is very different from the other islands. Menorca, the smaller of the islands, as it was called by the Romans, have a pristine interior, and shows interesting remains of its past history.
Other attractions on the island include: the port, the Born Square, the National Museum, the Cathedral, Ses Voltes, the Saura House, the Church of Roser, the Naveta des Tudons, etc.
